Power companies could face lawsuits from people who live near wind farms, under a bill from a northeast Wisconsin lawmaker.
Sen. Frank Lasee says low-frequency noise from the turbines can make people sick, and they should be able to seek damages for their suffering.
The De Pere Republican compares the health impacts of the wind turbines to stray voltage concerns. He says power companies initially dismissed the voltage issues as false.
Lasee says property near wind turbines also drops in value, and homeowners should be able to sue for that as well.
