A new wind energy project in Rock Island County is being put on hold.
The Clean Line Project is an electric transmission line that would bring wind power to Chicago from Iowa through Rock Island County.
Tuesday Night, the Board tabled the vote so opponents have time to voice their concerns about the project at the next finance committee board meeting.
After that, members of the county board plan to vote during next month’s committee of the whole meeting.
