A West Michigan wind energy business is winding down operations. That’s according to the automated message on Altronics Energy’s voicemail.

A Facebook page and website for the Byron Township business have already been taken down.

Last June, the state awarded the wind turbine supplier $450,000 in incentives to help the company expand, creating 90 new jobs over three years. It’s unclear if those incentives were ever used.

Altronics Energy was also supposed to team up with Grand Rapids Community College to train 51 wind energy workers.
