Wind farm debate continues throughout

Northern Argus | Feb. 27, 2013 | www.northernargus.com.au

There is a serious and important debate occurring world wide as well as here in the Mid North regarding the adverse impacts of wind turbine developments on the health and well being of communities and individuals.

Over the past few years the Northern Argus has provided information and a reasonably balanced view with well written articles outlining the issues and seeking views from both sides of the debate.

However, the standard of journalism took a significant dive last week with the article written by Keira James.

The flippant summary of a brief excursion to a wind turbine site does nothing to inform readers.

Instead, it has a strong tone of sarcasm and trivialises the issues that are extremely important to many members of the Mid North community.

This type of journalism is very disappointing to see in the Argus.

Surely readers deserve better than this.
