Wind farm concerns to be discussed at Vicarstown meeting

Laois Nationalist | February 21, 2013 | www.laois-nationalist.ie

A public meeting organised by concerned residents over proposed 190 metre high wind turbines in Laois will take place this Sunday morning in Vicarstown. The newly established Laois Wind Energy Awareness Group are set to invite public representatives and wind power company representatives to the meeting. It’s believed 15 turbines alone are being mooted for the Vicarstown, Emo and Rath area with wind farms set for other parts of the county as well. Venue for the meeting is the Vicarstown Community Hall and it will take place at 11am. All are invited.
