Credit:  Herald | Feb. 21, 2013 | www.barossaherald.com.au ~~

People from all walks of life are in attendance at the Keyneton Wind Farm hearing in Cambrai today.

About 100 people turned up to the hearing to voice their opinion on the issue, or listen to both sides of the debate.

Brad Reynolds from Eden Valley opposes the wind farm development and said in his speech today at the hearing that Pacific Hydro can not be trusted to undertake a project of this magnitude.

“Pacific Hydro have not done their homework properly on aviation,” Mr Reynolds said.

“An airstrip that actually appears on their very own map, just over 5kms from their turbines has been specifically excluded from their submission.

“Why?”

Other speakers at the hearing voiced their concern about the excess noise the proposed wind farm could create, the harm the proposed wind farm would have to their health and the health of the wild life and the visual impact the proposed wind farm would have.

Pacific Hydro is yet to have the opportunity to speak at the hearing.
