Recent studies have shown that industrial wind turbines cause health risks to humans within two kilometres, not to mention the risk they pose to birds and animals.
Ontario is studying industrial wind turbines, the risks they pose to human health and reasonable separation distances from communities.
Why won’t Nova Scotia’s NDP government wait until the Ontario study is complete before allowing wind turbines to be placed in our communities?
More than 85 per cent of Hillside Boularderie residents signed a petition stating that we are opposed to having wind turbines in our community.
Our own Cape Breton Regional Municipality government hasn’t come out in support of the people of Hillside Boularderie. But our regional government charter states that the health and well-being of our community must be protected.
Don’t allow these massive machines to ruin the beauty of our island and risk the health of our people. If Ontario has concerns about health risks, why shouldn’t we?
