New process for wind turbine complaints

It appears a process has been developed that will see wind turbine complaints given to the Ministry of Environment, will be forwarded to the company named in the complaint, in the past, this hasn’t been the case.

Last December it was learned at a Kincardine Council meeting, during a presentation by Enbridge Green Energy Power, that any complaints against them, that were sent to the MOE, were never forwarded to the company.

At the time Councillor Jacqueline Faubert couldn’t believe the system wasn’t working and promised to look into it.

Faubert has since been informed by the company that the problem was in the process whereby complaints couldn’t be forwarded unless permission was granted by the complainant.

She says the company has informed her in writing that a process is being developed that will allow those complaints received by the MOE to flow through to Enbridge.

Faubert says they have made some change because of the revelation and she says it’s the way it should have been in the first place.

However, Faubert cautions they’ll have to see how it goes from here to see if that straightforward path for complaints really does exist.
