PAXTON – A rural Paxton man has filed a small-claims complaint in Ford County Circuit Court that seeks damages from the developer of the Pioneer Trail Wind Farm near Paxton.
John Flahaut, who lists an address at 2314 E. Ford County Road 300 North, filed the complaint on Jan. 31 against E.On Climate & Renewables LLC, Chicago.
The complaint seeks $732.75 from E.On, plus court costs, for damage allegedly done to Flahaut’s vehicle when roads by his home were being resurfaced during the wind farm’s construction.
A court date was set for 1:30 p.m. March 19.
Matt Tulis, communications manager for E.On, said Monday that the firm expects to resolve the issue without going to court.
“We’re in touch with the landowner, and we expect to have this issue resolved very soon,” Tulis said.
