Proposed wind turbines a total turnoff

It grieves me that the province is considering granting rights to Natural Forces Wind Inc. to construct industrial wind turbines in our rural neighbourhood of Hillside Boularderie/Groves Point.
It has taken Mother Nature thousands of years to accomplish what we have here, and that could be destroyed very quickly.
When one travels this lovely island paradise with its million-dollar views, one cannot help but notice that its beauty is unique. The possibility that some of our natural scenic vistas might be destroyed is wrong.
If Cape Breton was a painting, painted by a master, do you think the leaders of today would be competent enough to add to the painting and its historic beauty? No. One artist rendered the beauty of this Cape Breton masterpiece, and we all know who that was.
It has taken our province several decades to try to position Cape Breton in the tourism market as a pure, distinct, pristine and proud island. The risk of throwing all this away has to be avoided at all costs.
There is a very good reason why this beautiful island has received so many honours. Surely any industrial wind turbines would only distract from the Creator’s masterpiece.
We have the right to expect a certain quality of life where we live, and no one should be asked to give up their peaceful and healthy home environment by contractors who come into rural neighbourhoods and don’t sufficiently communicate with residents.
It appears as if our government does not support the environment, our rights or the voices of the people.
