Wind concerns not addressed; Enbridge claims it does not receive wind complaints that go to the MOE

If you complain to the Ministry of Environment about wind turbines, there’s a chance nothing happens.

Kincardine councillor Jacqueline Faubert couldn’t believe what she was hearing when Enbridge Green Energy Power Operations General Manager Ian MacRobbie said any complaints about their turbines, directed to the MOE, don’t come back to the company for resolution.

Faubert wants to know where the complaints go because there have been hundreds and hundreds sent to the ministry since 2009.

She says it’s unbelievable and says it’s an injustice and a huge gap in communications.

She says she’s going to do more research in the weeks ahead to see if she can come up with an answer.

Faubert says she understands it takes time to get answers from bureaucracy but this is beyond that.

She wonders why citizens are urged to voice their turbine issues with the Ministry of Environment, if the complaints are not acted upon or at the very least, brought to the attention of the company involved.

Enbridge admitted not receiving any concerns from the MOE during a presentation to Kincardine council.
