Wind companies, government must come clean

I was thinking about the Niagara Region Wind Farm, which, unless there is a miracle, we will be living in before 2015, according to the schedule of events planned by Niagara Regional Wind Corporation.
There is something that bothers me about living in a farm. My husband and I have always been farmers and we lived on a dairy farm.
But to live IN a farm, and an industrial farm at that, is rather disconcerting for me.
I know that NRWC has labeled 3,500 of us as noise receptors. Does that make a wind farm a producer of wind and we, the noise receptor. Is the wind the product and are we the by-product? Or, are we the crop and the wind the by- product?
Certainly there are many noise receptors – more than 3,500 at last count. And if this is a farm, then the “farmers” should be concerned that they do the best for what ever they produce on their farm. In this case – it must be noise receptors!
The wind is not a tangible product. You can’t touch it, or feel it, feed it or package it and sell it on a farm. However, the Noise Receptors are very real! We have needs, we need to be fed, housed, and maintained and certainly kept healthy. It is the best interest of “the farmer” to take very good care of his “noise receptors”.
So, why is this farm allowed to become a threat to the residents of West Lincoln, Wainfleet and Haldimand? In real life, if a farmer is negligent, the authorities come by and the farmer is told in no uncertain terms that he is responsible and must clean up his act.
So, why is there no concern shown in the Niagara Region Wind Farm for the residents (“noise receptors”). This is wrong and must be corrected.
Our Liberal government is negligent, and just as guilty as the Niagara Region Wind Farm. Both of them must come clean on this one and take responsibility for the residents (noise receptors) of West Lincoln.
I have always been very careful to call our host property owners “landowners” because not all the hosts are actually farming, but now that I realize that they are the farmers for the Niagara Region Wind farm, I will call them Host Farmers.
