David Kennedy to run for Kingston selectman

Dec 23, 2012 | www.wickedlocal.com

Copper Beech Drive resident David Kennedy says he will announce next week his intention to run for the Kingston Board of Selectmen. Kennedy, a procurement consultant who also works for health insurance provider, has been in the news lately as an ardent spokesman for those citing quality of life issues relating to the wind turbines in town. He ran for selectman last year.

Kennedy has spoken out at selectmen and Board of Health meetings about the need for the town to study claims of issues related to turbine noise and flicker. He has repeatedly expressed optimism that there can be a resolution to these issues and has said he’s willing to work with any board or committee to act sooner rather than later to alleviate the issues residents are having with the turbines.

He also said he hopes the Board of Health will agree to issue a cease and desist order for the turbines until a sound study has been completed.
