Oakfield wind project opponents having their day in court

Citizens' Task Force on Wind Power - Maine | December 9, 2012 | www.windtaskforce.org

WITHIN THE PAST THREE YEARS , ROLLINS, ROXBURY , OAKFIELD 1, AND SADDLEBACK APPEALS TO THE SUPREME COURT HAVE ALLOWED THE MAINE JUSTICES TO HEAR THE OTHER SIDE OF WIND POWER .

ROLLINS, OAKFIELD AND ROXBURY APPEALS HAVE ALL BEEN DENIED AND SADDLEBACK HAS BEEN HEARD BUT NO OPINION HAS BEEN GIVEN YET.

THE APPEAL OF THE OAKFIELD 2 PERMIT WILL BE HEARD BY THE LAW COURT THIS COMING WEDNESDAY. PLEASE, IF YOU CAN, SUPPORT THE CITIZENS WHO ARE APPEALING THE INSTALLATION OF 50 TURBINES IN THE OAKFIELD AND ISLAND FALLS REGION IN NORTHERN MAINE BY ATTENDING THE HEARING.

WHEN ? WEDNESDAY 12-12-12 AT 2 :05 pm

WHERE ? AT THE Courthouse at 205 Newbury St, Portland, ME.
Take Rt. 95 and go onto Rt. 295 in Gardner, right past Augusta. Exit 7, Franklin St., in Portland. When you exit, you are on Franklin, continue past two lights, and the next St. is Congress St. Turn right and on your right is a parking lot, best place to park. Exit the parking lot, and in front of you is a park, walk past the park, and you are at the court building. Walk along the side of the building (you can’t enter the door on the side of the park) and on the other side is the entrance. There is security there, so ask the guards how to get up to the Supreme Court court room.

THANK YOU
MONIQUE
