Governor Patrick will be in the Berkshire County town of Florida to celebrate the new Hoosac Valley Wind Farm.
It’s a project thats been in the works for years, and it’s nearly complete.
Gov. Patrick is calling the project a milestone for renewable energy in Massachusetts.
When it’s done, it’ll be the largest utility-scale wind farm in the state.
19 wind turbines are being built on a mountain ridge that spans the towns of Florida and Monroe.
The utility company N-STAR will be purchasing all the energy from the turbines.
