Plympton-Wyoming residents are expressing concerns over potentially lower property values on sites near wind turbines.
Mayor Lonny Napper they’ve been in contact with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation and intend to keep the pressure on.
Mayor Napper says in the rural area, farmland is assessed at 25 percent of the residential rate and further reductions would be detrimental to the municipality. He’d like to have the assessment numbers before new year when Plympton-Wyoming Council sets its budget.
