The state’s environmental enforcement agency is ordering a fledgling West Hartford wind energy company that cut down more than 330 trees on state land in Canaan to resurvey adjacent properties where the cutting occurred.
The company also must monitor for invasive plants, post the state land, and come up with a state-approved environmental research project for the acres in question.
In a consent order delivered to BNE Energy Inc. on Thursday, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is mandating the company retain a state licensed land surveyor within seven days.
