The Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Directors met in a special session last night. Reporter Mike Lipsitz was there as the board waded into a very full agenda…
Last night in Morongo Valley, the Community Services District met in special session in lieu of the regular third Wednesday meeting. At the top of the meeting, the CSD joined a host of other local organizations and passed a resolution opposing development of a large scale wind farm atop Black Lava Butte in the Pipes Canyon area. Also last night, the CSD approved an approximate half million dollar appropriation spending limit for fiscal year 2012-2013. The District remains well within the limit to date. Also last night, the board adopted a draft edition of the California Fire and Residential codes with changes. A copy of that document is available for view and purchase at the CSD office. In other business, the board adopted a facility use policy and updated fee schedule for use of the Covington Park Facilities. The schedule includes a provision for groups that have been meeting there regularly for more than 12 months.
