Penicuik woman wins ‘myth’ case

Midlothian Advertiser | 7 November 2012 | www.midlothianadvertiser.co.uk

A Penicuik ensioner has forced a wind farm developer to stop distributing an information leaflet.

The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld a complaint by Celia Hobbs, who took exception to a house price claim made in a fact sheet published by RenewableUK, formerly the British Wind Energy Association.

Mrs Hobbs took her case to the ASA in July after picking up a RenewableUK leaflet at Wind Prospect Developments’ exhibition in Howgate.
