Hornburn wind farm plans

Plans have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council for a ten turbine wind farm at Hornburn, between Reston and Ayton.

In their application Energie Kontor say that the development site “has been under consideration and assessment for a number of years”.

The land where they propose building the ten 115m turbines is described in accompanying documents as “undulating farmland and consists of open arable and grazing fields”.

Six exhibitions showing plans of the wind farm have been held during this year, two at Reston, two at Ayton and one each at Foulden and Chirnside, the most recent at Foulden last month.
