Wind tower fire reported near Crofton

CROFTON, Neb. – Firefighters from Crofton were monitoring a fire Wednesday night in a wind tower southwest of the community.
The fire was located at the top of the wind tower, which is part of the newer section of towers in the area. High winds at the time sent some sparks flying, which briefly ignited some small grass fires.
Crofton firefighters were still on the scene at press time
