Support for an Arran Elderslie resolution distributed among Ontario municipalities is growing.
The resolution, requesting a moratorium on the planning, development and construction of industrial wind turbines, continues to receive support from municipalities across the province, with the County of Essex, the Municipality of West Elgin and the Town of South Bruce Peninsula all supporting the call for a moratorium.
“While the council for the Town of South Bruce Peninsula supports the provincial government in its bid for renewable energy, the Town of South Bruce Peninsula must inform the Province of Ontario that is does not wish to have wind turbines located within our community,” a letter to Premier Dalton McGuinty from clerk Angie Cathrae read.
