Wind farm is nothing to cheer

trib.com

Let’s see if I have this right, the Star-Tribune is cheering the desecration of 350 square miles of Wyoming’s prairie for the development of an industrial wind generating facility in Carbon County.

Surely the environmental consequence are far reaching. The impact on wildlife, if the project is a continuing mass of wind turbines, would be a disaster for antelope and deer. The visual impact on our open spaces south of Rawlins would be devastating. Federal lands are involved; what happened to the requirements for an environmental impact statement?

To me, there is nothing to cheer about when Wyoming’s landscape is desecrated to this unimaginable extent.
