BROKEN BOW – The dedication of Custer County’s Broken Bow Wind project Tuesday is not open to the public, as reported earlier this week by the Hub.
The event northeast of Broken Bow is by invitation only. Speakers will be Gov. Dave Heineman; Pedro Pizarro, president of project operator Edison Mission Group; and Nebraska Public Power District Executive Officer Pat Pope.
The $145 million, 80-megawatt-capacity project includes 50 turbines scattered on about 14,000 acres east and northeast of Broken Bow and their related transmission lines.
