The winners from the push for renewable energy are not Michigan residents

A story this week shows the wind turbine parts moving through Muskegon. The huge blades and support towers being transported to the wind farm near Ithaca were made in Germany and South Korea.
President Obama and former governor Jennifer Granholm promise green energy will create millions of good-paying jobs. They are not telling us that those jobs are in other countries such as Germany, South Korea and China. They are also not telling us that green power costs are twice the price of conventional power costs and require the force of law to require their construction and then tax increases to help pay for them.
Higher electricity costs also drive businesses out of Michigan. The green energy lobby is the only winner. Wise up, Michigan.
