Crews are working to remove a tractor-trailer hauling a wind turbine from a ditch in Riley Township.
The tractor-trailer hauling a wind turbine left the roadway shortly after 2 p.m., blocking M-19 in both directions at Interstate 69.
Deputies at the scene said the driver was turning north onto M-19 after exiting eastbound I-69 when the incident occurred.
Because of the length of the 197 foot rig, the driver had to go onto the grass on the side of M-19 to complete the turn. Because the grass was wet, the truck slid into the ditch, leaving the wind turbine across the roadway.
The driver is expected to be cited for impeding traffic.
The exit to M-19 off of eastbound I-69 also is closed.
