MoD concerns halt Dunnington turbine plan

Plans for a new 86 metre high wind turbine near Dunnington have been thrown out by East Riding Council following complaints by the RAF.

The proposed turbine, on agricultural land at Manor Farm on Skipsea Lane, was rejected by the East Riding Planning Committee during a meeting last Thursday.

Despite Bewholme Parish Council lending their backing to the application, objections from RAF Staxton claiming the structure would interfere with radar signals were upheld by the committee.
