Wind farm noise case adjourned

By Lauren Day | ABC News | www.abc.net.au 18 September 2012

A far north Queensland judge has adjourned a matter involving noise complaints against the operator of a wind farm near Ravenshoe.

The Planning and Environment Court yesterday heard Ratch Australia had completed noise monitoring at its Windy Hill wind farm between December last year and April this year.

However, when the Tablelands Regional Council ordered a peer review, an error was found in the methodology.

Noise experts from both parties will now prepare a joint report on noise monitoring and the methodology to be used.

The matter is due to return to court in December.
