Neighbors want fines against Georgia wind project

By WCAX News | www.wcax.com 5 September 2012

Neighbors of a wind project on Georgia Mountain are asking the Public Service Board to levy fines against the developer.

The four-turbine, 10-megawatt Georgia Community Wind project broke ground in May.

Neighbors allege that on several occasions blasting was done without proper notice, and on Bennington Battle Day, violating the company’s Certificate of Public Good.

Company officials tell WCAX News they have admitted to and regret the violations.
