COLUMBIA CITY – Whitley County’s Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to replace David Schilling on the county’s plan commission.
“The cause of action was conflict of interest,” said Board Chairman Don Amber today.
The commissioners mailed a letter to Schilling informing the former plan commission president of their decision.
During the meeting, Commissioner George Schrumpf said “I’d like to request that Dave Shilling be replaced from the plan commission.”
The motion was seconded and carried with all three members, Schrumpf, Amber and Tom Rethlake voting to replace Schilling, who, according to Amber, was scheduled to serve on the commission until the end of 2013.
The commissioners have not named a replacement.
