An application has been made to Kilkenny County Council for planning permission for a wind farm at Foylatalure, Tullaroan, writes Tess Felder.
The plans include four turbines with a hub height of 80 metres and a maximum blade tip height of 121 metres, plus electrical transformer plant, control housing, borrow pit and metrological mast.
It would replace plans previously approved for five turbines with a hub height of 49 metres and maximum blade tip height of 76 metres on a smaller site.
