Buddhist monks are famous for their serene demeanour.
But a group of the holy men are being forced to sell their spiritual home – thanks to what they claim is the disturbing influence of nearby wind turbines.
The fed- up Buddhists say they’re experiencing chest pains, palpitations and dizziness because of the wind farms.
And an expert warns that health fears could lead to more and more people in rural areas moving house to escape turbines built too close to their homes.
ScottishPower, who own the turbines, say there’s nothing to prove the farms do anyone any harm.
But it seems when even monks can’t live in harmony with them, we need to re-evaluate the seemingly never-ending drive to scar our beautiful landscape.
