Summit Wind Power Corp. plans to build six wind turbines with a total capacity of 18 megawatts in Ibaraki prefecture in central Japan, the Nikkei newspaper reported today.
Investment is expected to be as much as 5 billion yen ($63 million) and operations may start in 2016, the newspaper reported without saying where it got the information.
Summit Wind is a unit of Summit Energy Corp., wholly owned by Japanese trading company Sumitomo Corp. (8053)
