Anti wind farm campaigners in Anglesey, Wales, have had their advert banned by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA).
The Anglesey Anti Wind Turbine (AAWT) group placed an advert in the regional press, showing 100m high turbines “coming to a field near you”.
Livos Energy challenged the AAWT. It stated that it had no plans for a wind farm like the one depicted in the advert and had made no proposals for 100m high turbines.
The ASA ruled that the advert was misleading, could not be substantiated and must no longer appear in its current form.
