Kahuku wind fire investigation will start when it is safe

The investigation into the fire at the Kahuku wind facility could take several more weeks.
That’s according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
A spokesman says the battery storage facility was badly damaged and steps need to be taken to ensure the area is safe.
Fire broke out last week Wednesday at the wind farm.
Because of the fire all 12 of the turbines are offline until further notice.
