Windsprawl

Anyone in favor of wind turbines needs to read Robert Bryce’s article “Renewable Energy’ s Incurable Scale Problem” in www.energytribune.com.

The increase in energy demand cannot even be met with thousands of wind turbines, much less the baseload. So the question is, “Why sacrifice the Maine outdoors for nothing?”

The continuing problems with noise and infrasound are being ignored by the legislature. The sound modeling and decibel limits are inadequate to protect people nearby. The legislature was asleep at the wheel when the wind law was slipped thru in “emergency” mode, and they owe the people of Maine protection from the wind cartel they unwittingly turned loose on us. Thank you to the many who now acknowledge the problems but there is a sizable lot who still have not done their windsprawl homework. This needs attention now before the entire state is littered with unnecessary wind turbines.

Try and sell your property facing the turbines or close to them. You may not be able to at any price. The developer should be liable and the landowners who leased their land share some responsibility for the situation, even though they may have been lied to along with everyone else that the turbines were quiet and would not bother anyone.

Maine needs a moratorium on wind development until the facts are known and the pro wind propaganda is filed accordingly…in the trash can.
