An MP for Bedfordshire has arranged a public meeting to discuss growing concerns about wind farms in the county.

North East Bedfordshire MP Alistair Burt said he arranged the meeting after many constituents expressed their worries about applications for more wind turbines in their local area.

Mr Burt said: “Following the recent decision in relation to Chelveston, and the applications for turbines in Riseley and Souldrop, I know many constituents are very worried.

“I would invite all those concerned to attend the meeting and join in the discussion.”

The first half of the meeting will focus on wind turbine policy and the single turbine applications in Riseley and Souldrop. The second half will deal with the Chelveston decision for a wind farm.

The meeting will take place at Yelden Village Hall on Saturday 4th August 2012 between 10am and 12 noon. Anyone with any concerns are encourage to attend and voice their opinions.
