Paramedics have had to stretcher a man down a wind turbine at the Macarthur wind farm.
The man, 25, was working at a height of about 40 to 50 metres inside the turbine when he was hit by a 3kg object.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the man briefly lost consciousness and suffered some spinal injuries.
Paramedics, police and SES were called to the incident at 8.37am.
The man will be flown to The Alfred hospital.
