FAIRHAVEN – Town officials will be meeting with the Department of Environmental Protection on July 12 in Lakeville to discuss the protocol, or specifics, of a sound study of the wind turbines. Health agent Patricia Fowle said Monday that she’d received notice from the DEP about the meeting. On Tuesday, Executive Secretary Jeffrey W. Osuch said the selectmen’s office was also notified and that one or more selectmen will attend.
Members of the Board of Health and selectmen will be hearing from Laurel Carlson of the DEP who has been doing a sound study of the wind turbines in Falmouth. Mr. Osuch said she will explain the parameters of a sound study of the turbines in Fairhaven.
