Turbine horror

I have recently moved to Pembrokeshire from Scotland. I moved from one beautiful location to another because the stunning countryside reminded me of what unspoilt British countryside used to be like where I was brought up as a child.
I was horrified when out of my kitchen window suddenly, one day a massive wind turbine was erected at Castle Villa, just across the fields from me. Now there is talk of a proposed wind farm not a thousand metres from my house. What are people doing to this wonderful countryside, with apparently full support from the Welsh Assembly and the local planners?
I for one would not have moved to Pembrokeshire, if I had anticipated such blots on the landscape. I am sure in time tourism will suffer and this is a major source of income here. These towers will be seen from the National Park.
It is well known that wind farms are inefficient, so why is so much incentive and huge sums of money being offered for these, when already a tried and tested method of generating electricity from below the sea in Ramsey Sound will be so much more efficient and constant?
