[The German Society for Nature Conservation (NABU) is threatening to take legal action against individual wind energy projects in North Rhine–Westphalia.]
Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) – Der Naturschutzbund Deutschland (NABU) droht, gegen einzelne Windenergie-Projekte in Nordrhein-Westfalen zu klagen. Hintergrund sind Planungen über kommunale Windvorrangzonen. Der NABU-Landesvorsitzende Josef Tumbrinck kritisierte am Mittwoch in Düsseldorf, die rot-grüne Landesregierung überlasse den Kommunen die Ausweisung von Vorrangzonen, statt auf Regierungsbezirksebene zu planen. Dies provoziere in den Kommunen profitorientierte statt sachgemäße Entscheidungen. Der NABU werde im Einzelfall die Abwägungsprozesse und artenschutzrechtlichen Belange überprüfen und bei «Wildwuchs» in den Kommunen Verbandsklage gegen die Genehmigungsbehörden erheben.
