LOWELL – “No Wind” was the message of the day at Lowell Mountains Group’s chicken barbecue and fundraiser held Sunday at Hazen’s Notch Campground.
In addition to food, the event featured games and live entertainment. Don and Shirley Nelson, who have become the public faces of the Big Wind resistance movement in Lowell, displayed the anti-wind tee-shirts and posed with a pinwheel.
One participant arrived in style in a Hummer bearing a telltale Vermont license plate that read “NOWIND.”
