Wind farm plans for Marsh near Louth hit the buffers

Louth Leader, www.louthleader.co.uk 30 May 2012

A developer has appealed to the national planning inspectorate after plans for eight 115 metre high wind turbines on land between four marsh villages stalled.

Energie Kontor applied to East Lindsey District Council to build the wind farm near Great Carlton in July last year but the plans are yet to be heard locally.

The planning inspectorate will consider the application and could force the district council to hear the application at planning committee within a set timeframe.

An ELDC spokesman said: “The district council’s planning committee will shortly be considering a report into this application, which will form the basis of how we approach the appeal.

“In considering any planning application this council will apply the statutory test which is to determine all applications in accordance with the development plan unless material considerations indicate otherwise, the governments National Planning Policy Framework is a material considerations and will be applied as such.”
