The Protect Rockmarshall Mountain Group is appealing for donations to help them make a final submission against Gaelectric’s appeal to An Bord Pleanala regarding Louth County Council’s refusal to grant planning permission for a wind farm.
Gaelectric lodged an appeal to An Bord Pleanala on April 25 who will assess Gaelectric’s original application and their subsequent submissions afresh and will not be bound by the Council’s decision.
The Protect Rockmarshall Mountain Group plan to submit a detailed observation to the board before the closing date, May 21, and have commissioned three independent experts to examine three critical elements of Gaelectric’s submission.
The cost of this submission will be in excess of €8,000 and the group are seeking contributions towards the cost of this.
Donations can be made in person or by post to: Andrew Wiseman, Wiseman Solicitors, 60 Anne Street, Dundalk.
Alternatively email: protectrockmarshall@gmail.co m and a Group member will arrange to meet with you.
