A Windhoist vehicle was spotted in the South Northants village of Alderton, one of the villages surrounding the proposed Tove Valley Wind Farm at about 8.15 pm on Sunday 6th May 2012.

The van belonging to Windhoist who claim on their website, “… leading wind turbine installation contractors offering heavy cranage and mechanical / electrical services to the principal wind turbine suppliers in the market including Vestas Celtic, Repower, Siemens, Nordex, Acciona, Enercon and Gamesa.”

Gamesa are currently working on their Environmental Impact Assessment for at least eight massive turbines in the Tove Valley.

A spokesperson for Tove Action Group (TAG) said, “The presence of this vehicle in the village on a quiet Sunday evening is very worrying. Something seems to be going on, with Windhoist exploring the area in this way, but we have yet to see a formal planning application submitted by Gamesa and none of the public consultation meetings that were expected earlier this year have taken place.

“Gamesa seem to be getting ready for something but apparently don’t want us to know what they are doing otherwise surely they would be doing this in daylight?”
