Campaigners against wind farms are planning a major march through the streets of Edinburgh to coincide with the appearance of American tycoon Donald Trump at a Holyrood committee investigating green energy targets later this month.
Mr Trump, who is funding an international crusade against “monstrous” wind farms around Scotland’s coast because of plans to site an offshore turbine site close to his Menie estate in Aberdeenshire, is due to give evidence on 25 April to the Scottish Parliament’s economy and energy committee.
He recently announced he had halted work on his £750 million golf resort in Aberdeenshire in protest at plans for 11 turbines in Aberdeen Bay and pledged his support for the Communities Against Turbines Scotland.
