The Mayor-elect of the South Burnett says residents near Kumbia need more information about a wind farm proposal.
Wayne Kratzmann has met residents concerned about AGL’s plans to build a wind farm at Cooper’s Gap.
He says the council cannot tell residents where it stands on the project because it is yet to receive a development application.
“I think they just want to know what the progress is, whether that will go through council for sure, that hasn’t actually been verified either,” he said.
“I think everyone out there is just in limbo at the moment and they want to know and it’s affecting their lives and their livelihood and they’re really struggling with getting on with their work in the livestock industry.”
