Over 270 trees saved by windfarm failure

A planned Carrick wind farm requiring the felling of over 270 hectares of forestry has been refused by planning chiefs.

The 15 turbine farm at Breaker Hill, Pinwherry, would have seen turbines 99 metres high to tip and three 70 metre high wind anenometer masts erected while 271 hectares of forestry would be felled.
