Lightning hits wind turbine

A lightning strike damaged a wind turbine at the Wonthaggi wind farm yesterday.
Local residents and workers at the desalination plant reported seeing a blade hanging from one of the farm’s six turbines yesterday afternoon.
The operator of the Wonthaggi wind farm has confirmed the turbine was struck by lightning.
