Emerging Energies doesn’t belong in Forest

New Richmond News, www.newrichmond-news.com 1 March 2012

It was interesting to read in last week’s edition of the New Richmond News that Emerging Energies had hired a PR firm. Considering that this company first showed up in Forest in 2007, it sounds like they are about four and a half years too late.

The residents of Forest did not even find out about this project until August 2010. We moved there in June of 2008 and there were no disclosures relating to 16 500-foot tall wind turbines within two miles of my house.

Emerging Energies is now trying to comply with the PSC’s request for more information. In Section 14 of the PSC’s review, Emerging Energies was asked to provide the proof of all their interactions with the public.

Makes for a pretty short list when there are none to speak of. Despite their claims, these are not the kind of people you want as neighbors.

This could become an issue for the county as well. Brown County, the site of the Shirley Wind Project, also by Emerging Energies, has recently asked for state funding to help the families that have had to leave their homes because of the negative health consequences. Go to youtube.com and search Shirley Wind Project and see what these are like yourself.

There is no reason for this project to go through and silencing the voice of the majority.
